Mystery Tour 2005

To Lesley, Olive and of course Bernie,

Thank you for the wonderful Mystery Tour October 5th 2005 that we have been on recently. It was a truly great day.

After the last pickup at Tollgate we journeyed onto the old A12 through the beautiful Suffolk countryside, passing through pretty villages such as Sproughton, Needham Market, Stowmarket and many more too numerous to mention. Olive as usual had many historical facts and very interesting stories to tell us about life in the villages. After travelling about 2 hours we stopped at The Old Mill House for a welcome cup of coffee which was served with biscuits. Outside the Inn was a children's playground which caused one or two of us to revert back to our childhood and of course try the swings and in one case the bars which made the certain man who tried them feel his age.

After refreshment we then carried on through Suffolk and into Norfolk and through the picturesque villages that Norfolk had to offer. We were all trying to guess where we were headed for lunch and Lesley of course would not give us any clues, however, we eventually arrived in Great Yarmouth which was to be our destination for our lunch stop. We had plenty of time for lunch and there were lots of restaurants and cafe's to choose from and we also had time to look round the shops, and in my case spend a bit of money. If you desired you could walk along the front as it was a really beautiful day weatherwise. Soon it was time to bid Great Yarmouth goodbye and return to our coach and continue with our amble.

The next question was where were we going to stop for our cream tea, so the guessing game began all over again. Bernie drove us through more beautiful countryside down country roads, which he navigated with great skill. We then reached The Maltings at Snape, which was where our delicious cream tea was to be taken. We could either go and have our tea or browse around the numerous craft shops that were there, and then have our tea. Then it was back onto the coach again for our drive back to our various destinations. When we reached these we were all I'm sure very tired but very happy travellers.

I would urge anyone who has not tried Leisuretime-tours Mystery Tours, Autumn Ambles or Winter Warmers, to give them a try and I'm sure it would not be the last time you go on one. Personally I wouldn't miss one through choice. They are well worth the money.

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN LESLEY, OLIVE NOT FORGETTING BERNIE
